• A Blogger.

The person who runs THIS blog — Hillary Now: Republican Lies and Hillary Clinton — left me a comment below explaining that I’d sooner “hate on the UN and bill clinton than to even consider stopping nuclear proliferation and poverty and disease.”

I’m not sure what that was about.

  • And more moonbattery.

Another precious soul sent me an article from Mother Jones Earth News, posted Friday, which complains about “respiratory problems from breathing in the asbestos and other particles released into the air” on September 11, 2001.

I believe the article’s writer opts to blame Bush, the Pope, and the “Reagan deficit.”

  • Still more e-mail!

Perhaps the most intellectually stimulating one of the bunch is Donald Duke, The Manager, International Diplomatic Cargo Services.

    Mr. Duke informs me:

We have consignment valued US$21,000,000.00 (Twenty-One Million United State Dollars) in our custody, deposited by a customer from Congo Democratic Republic (Zaire).

    I find that exciting!

  • The state of the Yankees.

After Unit was booted early last night, the Yanks needed a strong game this afternoon from Florida Marlins castoff Shawn Chacon. Chacon’s been “my man” since blowing into the Big Apple, helping to save a team with most of its starting rotation either dead or dying (injured reserve).

Today, Chacon pitched 8 shutout innings of 4-hit baseball, walking one and striking out one.

Bernie Williams drove in Derek Jeter with a second inning single, and that was it.

    Yankees – 1, Blue Jays – 0, and that’s 6 straight from New York.

The Red Sox also won (2-1). The Yanks trail them still by a single game on the loss side.

  • Tonight’s Music.

It is Saturday: Marian McPartland’s Piano Jazz on WBFO. Two shows, two hours. Her guests were violinist Regina Carter and pianist Barry Harris.
