The best news for the White House today was… well, maybe the public & lawmaker reaction to his immigration speech. Probably, though, it was Tony Snow. He dealt with D. Gregory and H. Thomas without breaking a sweat, and he said he is having a blast. He’s the man the President needs in that spot, and he enjoys being there.
He beat cancer. He has the stamina for the long haul.
Speaking outside a polling station in Harrisburg this afternoon, Swann suggested that, if we have to, he will gut the property tax code and start over to make it fair.
THIS is the sound of reform, folks.
They were losing 9-0 when I shut the damned thing off. Shawn Chacon got knocked out after an inning and a third.
Some nights, you want to do something else. Cleveland is playing, still holding close to the lowly KC Royals.
Don’t know. Haven’t heard any yet. Swann won. Santorum won. Governor Ed won. Bob Casey will probably win. The Dems’ LG seat will be interesting, to see if CBK gets bounced. The senate race in the 30th is interesting for a number of reasons. Looking at it from a distance, it will speak a great deal to the political sophistication of the primary voters in the district. And there’s the whole matter of the anti-pay raise insurgency and its concomitant muscle flexing.
The face of reason.

How is Swann doing in the polls?
Yanks have made some sort of comeback, are down 19-8 I think.

It ain’t over ’til it’s over.
A coupla weeks ago I was at the college game (one of my alma maters, and the stadium is only a mile away) and they were trailing 12-4 in the middle of the sixth. People were packing up and leaving in droves. To make a long one short, they picked up ten runs in the sixth and five more in the next two inning to win 19-13. Those who left missed a helluva comeback.

Interesting ideas… I wonder how the Hollywood media would portray this?
