There has been a backlash over a Chocolate Jesus that was going to be put on display at a gallery in midtown Manhattan. Catholics raised a stink and the exhibit was cancelled. The art gallery owner screamed racism:
He [Matthew Semler, artistic director of the gallery] does not consider the piece irreverent and said he would look for another venue to display it. “I saw it as meditation on all those issues: the fact that it’s chocolate, the fact that it’s nude, that the chocolate is black,” Semler said.
He quit his job,
So we’ve a big naked Jesus, made out of chocolate, all over the MSM. (I’ve no problem with a naked depiction of Jesus on the Cross if it is done reverentially. After all, He had no loin cloth when He was nailed there; it was the winnings in a game of dice.)
Michelle Malkin asks: How would the MSM cover “Chocolate Mohammed” at Ramadan?
With a loin cloth.
