NBC has stuffed the old Dateline infotainment program on Saturday nights, and the network has fired longtime anchor Stone Phillips effective when his contract expires in June. The network says that they’re trying to save some money.

NOTE: If they want to have enough money to employ the celebrities of their choice, attract more advertisers by attracting more viewers. To do this, NBC, start reporting the truth. The actual news. Put your little opinions and biases in the bin and report the news.

But evidently Phillips was part of the problem. Here is Marty at Chickaboomer, who evidently watched Dateline, describing Stone Phillips:

A lot of them are like that.

So where now for Stone? He’s off to see paper and scissors, I suppose. MSNBC can’t afford to hire him. FNC wouldn’t want him. CNN already has John Roberts for the insincere looks, rolled eyes, and nodding head.
