Book publishers demand that they books they publish sell well Authors are encouraged to put in crap about which reporters/personalities will write or talk, as it is promotion and convinces curious and gullible people to purchase the books. It gives the reporters something about which to write and the personalities something about which to speak on-air. They wast time and attract viewers, the book publishers sell books, and the book writers make money. Everyone’s happy.

It is otherwise worthless.
