4,000 U.S. soldiers killed in Iraq
Brave men (and women), all of them. The sun will never set on their memories.
Hotline on Call wants the world to make a big deal out of 4,000.
It is a number, not a symbol! We didn’t shake the world when the number was at 3,279 and 1,462, or any such thing.
Remember what war is, and why it is undesirable. Remember, too, that almost 20,000 British soldiers were killed on the Somme on July 1, 1916. That one battle in the First World War lasted until November of that year.
Death is tragic, but casualties are down. Do the math.
